A sneak peak at Pooh-

As I said last year, Jeremy and I are not big Halloween people but I can't resist the opportunity to dress my boys up in cute costumes! Last year James was Tigger so I decided to reuse that costume for John-Mark and find a Winnie the Pooh costume for James. Yesterday I tried on the Pooh costume - adorable! James had a great time playing around the house in his costume - I'll post pictures of he and Tigger after Halloween!
This Pooh Bear is more of a fan of Cheerios than Honey :)
Chillin' in his new spider man chairJames wanted to enjoy the activity gym with John-Mark too - Here is John-Mark in his shocked look from the flash on the camera - I have too many pictures where he looks like this! Obviously James has learned how to "work the camera!"
My sweet boys
John-Mark loves to watch his big brother - James likes to make the bouncy seat bounce by rocking the seat with his hand - John-Mark seems to enjoy it-
My baby is becoming a big boy!

Just having fun!

Time for the footed sleepers - Love them!! James has become obsessed with taking off socks - not just his, but John-Mark's as well. If I don't put his shoes on him he will take his socks off within 5 minutes. If John-Mark has on socks and is in his bouncy seat or swing, James will make sure his socks are off as well. He likes the toes to be free!!

As we continue to empty boxes at the new house, I came across this tent that our good friends, the Nix's, let us borrow several months ago for our beach trip - before I return it I thought it would be fun to set it up in the house and see what James thought about it - it entertained him a good bit-

We only have a few more boxes to empty - James is going to be so sad that his jungle gym is gone - many days I find him standing on these boxes -

James' friend Beau came over the other day for a play date and the boys had fun "sharing" the Cozy Coupe -

The Pumpkin patch

Like every other good blogging mom I took my boys to a pumpkin patch today. I had grand ideas of all the cute pictures I was going to take of James and John-Mark sitting on hay bales with pumpkins all around them- maybe even get a good pic of the whole family - HA! As you'll see by the pics below is was difficult just to get one of James looking my way! He was on the move the whole time and it's going to be a while before I can get a pic of he and John-Mark sitting together! Hope you enjoy!

14 & 2 months old!

John-Mark - 2 months old
oh my sweet precious boy!

Many of you have asked if john-mark looks like James as a baby and here is a pic of him at around 2 months for comparison-I think they look pretty different - what do you think?

Today John-Mark turns two months and we went to the doctor for his check-up. He weighs 11 lb 13 oz and is 23 inches long (both in the 55%). Everything looks great and he is a healthy growing boy. The past couple of weeks he has really started to come into his personality and he is becoming so much fun. He loves his big brother and will watch him run all around the room and just squirm in my lap- He wants to be able to move around so badly - it won't be long before the two of them are both running around the house!

It's hard to believe they are only 12 months apart by looking at this picture - james looks like such a big boy!!I was trying to get James to give John-Mark a kiss; instead he wanted to roll all over him -

John-Mark is still doing great on his nighttime sleep (much thanks to the miracle blanket) and is starting to get into the groove of his daytime nap schedule. I know everyone has an opinion on what works best for their family and I just want to say "Becoming Babywise works for me!" Jeremy thinks I should write a book if John-Mark ends up being as good a sleeper as James - but I told him it's already been written :)! Not to knock any other method your family uses - anything that has the end result of a good sleeping baby is great!
James is still cracking me up daily. Jeremy "laid down the law" and said no more toys since he thinks we already have too many and I have obeyed so far and after today I am further convinced that he really doesn't need anymore toys. I pulled out his old activity gym and put the dancing bears on the bouncer seat for John-Mark and this is what he did when he woke up from his nap and saw them - I guess it was kind of like Christmas - he played with them for hours!
This last pic is of James looking out the window - he loves to do this all day long - I am obsessed with overalls - I think they are soooo cute on little boys so I had to snap some pics this day because I just wanted to eat him up!!

"Give me a grinner!"

I finally was able to capture john-mark smiling - our camera blinks a red light before the flash which always grabs his attention and his smile fades - but here's some good ones of him grinning-
Distracted by the red light!
We're still slowly but surely getting everything unpacked in our house and getting adjusted. We love it more and more everyday.
Recent pics:
When I put John-Mark on his tummy time mat James likes to sit on it too!
"Come over here by me John-Mark!"
James patting him on the head -
Getting in trouble for patting a little too hard :(
Leaning in for a kiss of apology :)-

John-Mark and House Update-

Well, we're finally in our new house!! We spent our first night here this past Tuesday and it feels wonderful to have a home again! We have been so blessed to be able to stay with Jeremy's dad during the renovations and we were really able to make ourselves at home there but it's so nice to have all of our things out of storage and start setting up house again. We are still emptying boxes and getting things organized but I'll post some updated pics of the house soon.
Thank you all for your prayers for our little John-Mark. He is really doing so much better. His night time sleep has continually gotten better where he has slept from 10:30 pm until 7 am the past two nights in a row!! Hallelujah!! Before that he was making it to atleast 5 so I have been getting a good atleast 7 or so hours of sleep a night which makes all the difference in the world on my perspective!! I pray this continues! He is also beginning to do better with his naptime during the day. Just this past week he took notice of his mobile and is loving it - I can leave him in his room and get things done while he kicks and coos for close to an hour sometimes at his mobile - James was the same way so I've been waiting for this "break through" :) We're also getting lots more smiles which I continue to miss with the camera - hopefully I'll get one soon to post.

my sweet boy snoozing in his miracle blanket
Jeremy and John-Mark sitting in the recliner - this reminds me so much of he and James - when he was a newborn he would feed him at night and then he would fall asleep laying on a pillow in his lap in the recliner while Jeremy watched baseball - since our furniture has been in storage until now he hasn't done this with John-Mark - such sweet memories!
