These are all names you are called quite often. Your sister is really the only one that calls you buddy but it's one of your names none the less :) Happy Birthday sweet boy!!
You are so much fun! I have so much fun just watching you interact with the world around you. Lots of people who don't know you super well always comment how serious you are. Which is partly true. You are very serious when encountering new things and new people and study everything before you feel comfortable, but after that you are silly, silly, silly. You are such a mix of your older brothers in many ways but in others you are 100% your own. So many times I just look at something you are doing and crack up laughing and think, "where in the world did you come from!?!"
Here are some things I don't want to forget about you when you were 2:
- You still don't say a ton of words but you are always trying to talk to us. You point to everything and have a word for it but we don't always understand. Recently you started saying ba-bee, and David. You LOVE to say HAEE (hey) in this very high pitched tone. Cracks.us.up. You sound very much like Harry Cary :)
- Speaking of David you are such a sweet big brother - most of the time. You love to keep David in line and let us know if he is in to something he's not supposed to be. You play so well together and you can usually get him laughing like no one else can. You also still like to finish off his bottle when he's done with - making sure no drop of milk is left in the bottle.
- I think you may be the best eater we've had so far - which is saying a lot!! I can't think of much you won't eat. You LOVE to dip things so any time we have salsa, ketchup, chick fil a sauce, you name it - you expect to have some on your plate as well. You like to eat everything with your fork and if your hands get food on them you immediately hold them up for me to clean saying, "hands, hands". You also want to drink out of a big boy cup all the time and resist the sippy cup - even though its easier and less mess for momma to clean up. If we don't watch you you will grab your sister or brothers cups and sneak off with them :)
-When you don't get your way you LOVE to pitch quite a fit but you have learned that all that gets you is a trip to your room so... now when you're mad about something and start crying you immediately head to your room to plop down and finish off your tantrum. It's incredibly hard not to laugh at you as you poke that pouty bottom lip out and cry all the way to your room with your head down. You even do this when we're not home. Recently we all went to the lake with my mom and you got mad about something and went wandering down the hall, crying, and looking for a room to go pout in :)
-You love to play hard to get and its like pulling teeth to get kisses from you. You'll lean in and give a cheek or even your lips but you think it's so funny to not pucker up and cut your eyes away like you don't care - maybe because we always end up ticking you until we get kisses :)
-Recently you have started taking your diaper off during naps and night time - you are the first baby in our house to do this - we think this "phase" is over but I want to remember it none the less:)
- At times you can be very independent but other times you can be terribly clingy to me. If we're out and about and I walk more than 4 steps away from you, you start running and crying and reaching for my hand. Since I know this won't last forever I soak it up. (I wish the big boys still "needed" to hold my hand as much:)
- You LOVE the water!! Any water. Swimming in a pool, playing in a puddle - you name it - if there is water involved you're all about it :)
- You play with all your siblings but you are probably closest with your sister. Ya'll will play and play for hours - maybe because you will do whatever she tells you to usually but you have lots of fun together :)
- FRECKLES!! Oh how I love your freckles across the bridge of your nose. They are so light that most pictures don't show them very well but they are there! I don't think even James had freckles at 2 yet!! Lots of angel kisses for you :)

You are such a gift to our family and we are so blessed to have you! Of course, like all the rest we can't imagine how we ever did life before you came along! I can't believe you've only been in our lives for 2 short years!! You're treasured and loved like crazy and we look forward to getting to experience the world through your eyes!! We love you Ben Ben!!!
